    To add or create an event, take the following steps :

    1. Visit your dashboard
    2. Click on Events on the left side
    3. Click on the “Add Post” button

    Here you are, this is the page builder!

    The main / central zone of the page builder will get your content by using blocks. In the right of the screen stand the event page settings and the block(s) settings that are added to the event page.

    Icons and available settings

    This section is similar than the one regarding the post. Visit it for more information on icons and available settings, and go back here to get advice on how to edit your event.

    Edit an event

    To draft a new Event, take the following steps:

    1. Give your post a title by typing it in the box at the top that says, “Add title“. This title will be the event title and will be visible within the slug (url) of the event page
    2. Click on the + block inserter icon to add a block that will receive your content
    3. Click on the pencil button, in the right corner of the block, to edit its content

    5. Display the blocks, texts and images as you wish

    1. Add type(s) (such as Family, Children, Night, Day, Free, etc.), organiser(s) and venue(s) to filter all your events
    2. Add / edit an excerpt

    4. Set a featured image
    5. Publish and share it with the world !

    Add blocks

    Creating an event and a post are similar. Visit the page on how to add a block within a page of a post.

    Block options

    All block options on a event page are similar to the one of a post page. Visit the page on what are the blocks options should you wish to know how to copy, edit, delete, view, remove, etc. blocks on a event page.

    Practical information about the event

    Each event is linked to information that will, among other things, allow them to be displayed in a specific order in the list of all events.

    Below the page builder, information regarding the date(s), the price and an url can be added.

    Date

    • Click on Add a new date button

    • Set a start and end date for your event by clicking on Start date and then End date. Each time, a calendar will open where you can select a year, month, and day.
      • Not all day-long event? : If your event does not last all day but only a few hours, check the box “The event doesn't last all day long.”
        • Then choose a start and end time.

      • Same event, but multiple dates : You can add for a same event, multiple dates. For example, there is a theatrical performance on January 1 and then another on January 16.
        • You can reorder the date by dragging and dropping the frames.
        • To delete a date, click on the - button on the right sight of the frame

    You’d like to update how the date of events is displayed ? Example : the format date/month/year → does’t suit you? 9:19 pm → doesn’t suit you? Date and Time format can be customized within the General Settings of your WordPress. By changing these formats, all dates and time that will be displayed will take into account the chosen formats (events, news, etc.).. Read the card on how to update the Date and Time format.

    Excerpt

    This short description will appear on the block event and also when the link to the entire page is shared.

    Website url

    Copy the booking URL here, if there is one, or the URL of a page that provides detailed information about the event (i.e a YouTube link)

    Price

    Type here a price information :

    • Examples: “free”, “10euros”, “10€”,

    Type

    These are categories that can be used to filter events on the page listing upcoming events.

    Venue

    These are categories that can be used to filter events on the page listing upcoming events.

    Organiser

    These are categories that will eventually allow you to filter events on the page listing upcoming events.

    Type, Location and Organiser are content objects that can be edited separately from the side navigation bar within the ‘Events’ tab.
