The blocks are automatically reversed every second time.

  • The field Title is the main title of the widget, it is visible when the widget is closed.
  • The field Description is a text editor that allows you to have typographical functionalities like a bullet list, bold, italic, subtitles... It appears immediately after the title before the alternating elements.

Each text/image block is made of:

Multi columns

The Multi-column is a widget that allows you to divide its content into columns. There is no limit to add columns but the layout is generally limited to a maximum of 4 columns by row in a large screen environment for readability reasons.

image

Like the other modules (see above), there is first a series of introduction fields (title, description, button).

Then there is the block to add the columns.

image

In each column, you can configure:

  • title
  • text via a rich text editor that allows you to have typographical functionalities like: bullet list, bold, italic, subtitles....
  • An image to upload or to choose into the WordPress library.
  • URL : it will be linked to the image or a button/link will be added with a Read More label depending on your website configuration.

The number of columns per row is automatically calculated by Minotaure.

Content Editor

The Content Editor is a simple rich text editor that allows you to have typographic functionalities like: bullet list, bold, italic, subtitles....

Tip

Each text style has its importance both for your SEO and for accessibility reasons. Structuring your content with titles and subtitles also improves the reading rate of your content. Think about the semantics you want to implement according to the typography functionnalities.

Video

The widget Video allows you to add a video within your page.

image

Its components are :

  • title
  • An introduction text
  • title linked to the video
  • The video description text (in some cases, it can be used as a transcription of the audio or visual content of the video for accessibility reasons)
  • The most important thing, the video itself : just add the link from your favorite video platform : YouTube, DailyMotion, Vimeo.
  • The image allows you to define a placeholder picture that appears before the video starts when you click on the play button.
📢
WARNING Be careful to use the "right" code for the video. This is the complete code (no shortcode) without parameters. Example for YouTube : - the right code is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knzsyZWbN7g - the shortcode proposed when sharing through YouTube is https://youtu.be/knzsyZWbN7g (note how the address is shortened). Bad! - This is a bad code because there is a parameter added after the video ID (starts with `&`) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=knzsyZWbN7g&ab_channel=KEXP Tip: Copy the url that appears in the address bar of your browser and remove any parameters.

image

Its components are :

  • title
  • An introduction text
  • title linked to the image
  • The image description text
  • The most important thing, the image itself : simply add the image from the WordPress media library or upload it by clicking on add an image.

Form

The Form widget allows you to add a form previously created via the specific content module installed on your WordPress.

image

Like the other widgets (see above), there is first a series of introduction fields (title and description).

Then select the form you want to display here on the page.

image

Fields title and description of the form allow you to add a specific description to your form, for example a data collection warning (RGPD).

📢
WARNING It is necessary to have created at least one form from the specific content module accessible via the left aside menu of WordPress.

List of articles

The List of articles widget allows you to display in columns the articles written and published within WordPress from the content module of the same name.

image

Like the other widgets (see above), there is first a series of introduction fields (title and description).

Then there is a series of parameters that define which articles to display at this point on the page:

  • The Order allows you to define the chronology: from the most recent to the oldest or the opposite.
  • In automatic mode, the number of articles (number of columns also)
  • In automatic mode, possibly choose a article category if you have defined categories and linked your articles to them.
  • In automatic mode, the selection allows you to start from the last published articles or to randomly choose articles from the complete list
  • In manual mode, you access a small search engine that allows you to specifically define the desired items.

Table

The Table allows you to add a table of static data on your page

Once the title is added, you can use the form provided to add textual content with the usual layout elements of the Minotaure content editor (bold, italic, link...).

The Minotaure content editor of the Table module, however, contains an additional option that allows the creation of a table. By clicking on the "table" icon at the top left of the editor, you can access a sub-menu which allows you to define the number of columns and rows you want. The table then appears in the editor and each cell can be filled with content. By clicking on this table, a contextual menu appears which allows you to insert or delete columns or rows.
